A quick and easy guide to stopping stinky feet.
We are not judging you. This is a problem that has occurred at least once in every man’s life. You get to work, everything seems the same as before, until you smell something…funky. “Did someone leave a rotting sandwich under your desk?” Unfortunately, no—the sandwich you smell is you. To be more precise, it’s your feet, which have turned your shoes into some nesting grounds. The point is, you need a fix and you need one fast. Follow these four steps and get your feet back to fresh:
1. Procure your tools.
Go to the nearest pharmacy and purchase some foot powder, deodorizing insoles, and cleansing wipes. (It doesn’t matter if you use the baby kind, the face kind, or the hardcore disinfectant kind.)
2. Cleanse your feet.
Go to the bathroom and remove your shoes and socks, unless you aren’t wearing socks, in which case we have found the root of your problem. Buy some no-show socks tonight. Wipe down your feet. Throw the wipes out in a garbage can. (Flushing them can cause clogs in the sewer system, and no one likes a guy who’s smelly and an environmental hazard.)
3. Powder your feet (and shoes).
Apply the foot powder to your feet and sprinkle some into your shoes, too. It’ll keep you from sweating like Charles Barkley, circa 1994.
4. Insert insoles.
Cut ’em to size. Put ’em in your shoes. They’ll do the heavy lifting (and hopefully, drying) from there.
Now get back to work!
