Meet the Founder
Sylvia Nwoko
Sylvia's journey began with a love for Africa's indigenous Ankara fabric and a desire to transform it into elegant, contemporary womenswear. What started as a creative passion evolved into Thatpurpledot Couture, initially established as a bespoke tailoring business specialising in women's clothing made with African fabrics. As demand grew and the business evolved, Sylvia expanded Thatpurpledot Couture beyond bespoke tailoring to introduce a made-to-order model, allowing more women to access thoughtfully designed pieces that celebrate their individuality and heritage. Over the years, her vision grew beyond a single fashion label into a group of complementary brands, each serving different needs within the fashion industry. Today, that vision lives on through TPD Group, an evolving fashion enterprise built on creativity, quality, versatility, and a commitment to the growth of the African fashion industry.
